Annual Meeting of the Michiana Jewish Historical Society, Nov. 17 at 1:30pm

I felt privileged and more than a little awed when I was invited to be the speaker at the annual meeting of the Michiana Jewish Historical Society. A huge storm raged outside as we gathered and yet the auditoum was almost full. I read from The Reluctant Nazi and we had a meaningful discussion afterwards. I appreciated their responses and their warm reception.

As a result of that reading Maggie Gioldberg and Monika Wayne of the Jewish Federation asked me to help organize workshops on Telling Our Stories. We have run several of them and the results appear monthly in the Jewish Federation Newsletter. In addition, I meet with anyone interested in writing their memoirs or only one particular story and help them put this together. As I know from writing my own book, these personal perspectives are important to give us all a better sense of history.

I'm still finding my Twitter feet, but if you want to discuss my work, history - or just ask anything - say hello. GRobinsonauthor
